At the Outdoor
Education and Science Experience we are aware of the on-going challenge
today’s teachers face devoting class time to field science and outdoor
learning activities. We believe that it is important for children to
stay connected to their natural world in order to flourish. Our purpose
is to boost academic achievement in children by promoting exploration,
discovery, and a connection to nature and community.
The Outdoor
Education and Science Experience core curriculum is aligned with
California State Board of Education Science Content Standards. Students
will engage in hands on, inquiry driven lessons in the areas of life
science, physical science, earth science, and investigation and
experimentation.
Lessons include but
are not limited to bio diversity, ecology, fire ecology, geology,
wildlife biology, threatened and endangered species, astronomy,
environmental education, and sustainable life.
